Homestay Gold Coast

AICOL English language college, the longest running Gold Coast English School,  advises students, parents and agents  that it strongly recommends homestay.  Gold Coast homestay is recommended  for both long term students who are studying and learning English on student visa and also for short term tourist visa students learning English.

Homestay families provide  an excellent opportunity for conversation practice which assists students to learn to speak English quickly fluently.  In addition, homestay families introduce students to the Australian culture.

Gold Coast homestay families welcome English language students from all over the world and are experienced in assisting their students to learn English in a safe and friendly environment.

It is important to use a trusted Gold Coast based Homestay service.  AICOL Gold Coast English School has employed its own in-house Homestay Coordinators since 1993 and does not rely on an outside placement service so  are always immediately available to assist with homestay matters.  Homestay fees are held in a trust account so that in the unlikely event that the student wishes to change homestay family the money is available to arrange a new host family.

Homestay Gold Coast families are carefully selected to provide a quality and safe home life.  AICOL homestay families are particularly experienced with young kids  and as a result AICOL  requires all host families to hold a police clearance blue card for child-related employment.  For families to be approved as an AICOL Gold Coast homestay family they have to apply in writing, undergo an interview, be inspected by AICOL homestay staff and agree to AICOL homestay conditions.

Students are provided with their own room and three meals a day, seven days a week.  Homestay transport to and from AICOL can be arranged for a small additional charge.

It should be understood by students, parents and agents that a very large proportion of homestay Gold Coast families have a pet.  This is part of the Australian way of life.
